Mommasaurus' Empty Nest: The First Scrap Area

I have been scrapping for 13 years, most of them in a small corner at the top of our stairs, right outside my daughters' bedrooms. It was a great place to be, we had many a chat from their rooms to my corner, and I was always near by and accessible, but it's time to move on. The girls are women now, and although as a mother I would love them to stay here forever, as a woman I am so proud to see them out on their own. I have always wanted DD#2's room for my own and DD#1's I will make into the spare bedroom. DD#2 is in grad school in New Mexico. She recently got engaged and told me I can finally have my scraproom! Join me as I talk, plan, execute, decorate, organize my very own scraproom. My Empty Nest Scraproom!

Update: DD#2 is married now. She and her husband live in Houston, Texas, where she is a graphic designer at Rice University and he is in grad school at the same place. DD#1 recently got engaged and the past 6 months, and next 8, will be totally taken up by me being the "Wedding Planner" so much fun. Her wedding is the complete opposite of DD#2's and it is so much fun to get to help create two totally different "dreams" for my girls.

Our lives are forever evolving and changing. We have lived here for 25 years and it's always been the go to home for our girls and their friends. Now it's ours again, and we plan on updating our Empty Nest one room at a time!
